Who we are
At Sakshar Educational & Elder Welfare Trust, we exist at the vital intersection of human potential and enduring dignity. We believe a society's true greatness lies in its courage to bridge two fundamental fronts: unlocking the promise of youth, and honouring the sacrifices of our elders.
Sakshar Trust is a registered non-profit organisation established to drive systemic, grassroots transformation. Our work uplifts underprivileged children through value-based learning and modern skills, while extending dedicated healthcare, companionship and social protection to senior citizens.
Education ignites empowerment. Not a privilege, not rote literacy — a catalyst for genuine self-reliance.
Our philosophy
We reject the notion that quality learning is a privilege. Across marginalised communities we run targeted interventions — foundational academics, digital competence and modern vocational skills — to dismantle generational poverty from the inside out. Through our ethos of illuminating minds and empowering lives, we turn vulnerability into self-reliance and ambition into lasting achievement.
Yet progress remains hollow if its architects are forgotten. A lifetime devoted to family and nation should culminate in security and reverence, never isolation or neglected health. Through geriatric healthcare initiatives, preventive medical camps and community-led companionship networks, we extend an unconditional safety net to senior citizens.
By connecting these two generations, Sakshar Trust fosters a powerful intergenerational continuum: the vigour, curiosity and capability of our youth protecting our seniors, and the lived wisdom of our seniors anchoring our youth.
We are not merely offering temporary aid. We are building an enduring institution grounded in transparency, measurable ground impact and uncompromising compassion.
